Museu PO.RO.S vence Prémio Heritage in Motion
A preservação e divulgação do nosso património, do nosso passado e da nossa memória coletiva é uma responsabilidade de todos e não pode, de modo algum, ser descurada, sob pena de perdermos as nossas raízes e a nossa identidade.
A construção do museu PO.RO.S por iniciativa do Município de Condeixa teve, justamente, como função contribuir para eternizar a nossa herança romana, facilitando o conhecimento e a compreensão das novas gerações daquele que foi um dos maiores impérios europeus, a partir da antiga cidade romana de Conimbriga, recorrendo às mais recentes inovações tecnológicas.
A tecnologia será tanto ou mais proveitosa para o nosso futuro quanto mais útil for à compreensão do passado.
Parabéns a todos os parceiros envolvidos na construção deste empreendimento pela criatividade, pelo arrojo e pelo rasgo inovador.
Estamos muito felizes por este reconhecimento europeu e extremamente gratos ao júri do ‘Prémio Heritage in Motion’, desejando que o Museu PO.RO.S sirva de estímulo e inspiração a todos os lugares históricos deste velho continente.

Museu P.O.R.O.S wins Heritage in Motion Prize
The preservation and promotion of our historical heritage, our past and our cultural memory is a responsibility of each and every one of us and it must not be neglected, at the risk of losing our roots and our identity.
Museu P.O.R.O.S, an initiative of Condeixa Municipality, is a contribution to the preservation of our roman heritage. Taking the ancient roman town of Conímbriga and using the most recent technology, it makes it easier and more attractive to the younger generations to understand one of the greatest European empires, connecting past and future.
Well done to all the partners involved in this project for their creativity and vision, and for taking on this challenge.
We are extremely happy for this recognition and very grateful to the jury for this European award (Heritage in Motion Prize). We wish for this Museum to be an inspiration for many other historical sites around Europe.
